Greetings my Canine Comrades!

Lately I have been working on a mystery.

Detective work runs in my family.
My great uncle McPherson was a mascot for Scotland Yard!

Perhaps you can help me solve this puzzling phenonema.

My humans have a magic window in the livingroom. Mostly they sit and stare at other humans in the magic window. That is just fine with me. They don't notice me chewing on things when they watch the magic window.

But...every once in a while another Scotty shows up in the magic window! That is bad enough but this extremely handsome Scott looks just like me and he is a copy cat to boot!

We will call him Wannabe Dugan.

Example: The other day I worked very hard in the yard to dig up a mole. I had been tracking the little vermin for days, sniffing out his secret tunnels around the Missus' bird feeder. Finally, my exquisite radar honed in on the little intruder and he was mine! I spent a good thirty minutes bouncing around (a wonderful maneuver for confusing the enemy), flinging him in the air and barking his last rites.

The Missus was so impressed that she ran around the yard calling my name, Dugan! Dugan!
The Lad was in the yard too but he missed the whole thing because he was looking through that black box he carries around.

I was so proud. My only regret was that the Sir was not home to witness my heroism.

When my Sir arrived home that evening the Wannabe Dugan showed up in the magic window!
There he was, digging in MY yard, straightening out MY mole and receiving all MY credit!

I growled! I barked! I almost went insane! He would not go away!

I think my Sir knows the Wannabe Dugan is an imposter because after he left the magic window my Sir gave me many pats and praised ME.

If any of you, my courageous canine comrades, have the secret to the magic window please bark at me immediately!

I will not rest until I have evicted this crafty imposter from my home! Ggggrrrrrrr!!
